Having found the safety of the Greenland bunker after the comet Clarke decimated the Earth, the Garrity family must now risk everything to embark on a perilous journey across the wasteland of Europe to find a new home.

Pandemic Inspiration: The filmmakers drew inspiration from the COVID-19 pandemic, exploring the emotional impact of prolonged isolation on the characters, especially the children who spent their formative years in a bunker.
Butler's Sacrifice: Gerard Butler's character, John Garrity, takes on the dangerous job of scavenging outside the bunker, knowing he's exposing himself to radiation and pollution to help his family and community survive.
Teenage Nathan: The sequel jumps five years into the future, showing Nathan Garrity as a teenager, presenting new challenges and dynamics for the family as they navigate a post-apocalyptic world. Roman Griffin Davis replaces Roger Dale Floyd in the role.
Not About the Comet: According to director Ric Roman Waugh, the "Greenland" universe isn't really about the comet itself, but about how humanity reacts to catastrophic events and how people treat each other in crisis.
Real Locations: To enhance the film's realism, "Greenland: Migration" was filmed in real locations across Iceland and the United Kingdom, giving the post-apocalyptic setting a more visceral and grounded feel.
