Stevie and her little brother Elliot journey into the wildly absurd landscape of their own dreams to ask the Sandman to grant them the perfect family.

Stevie's Inspiration: The character Stevie was initially named Margot, but was changed to Stevie after Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac. The filmmakers wanted to include Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" in the movie but couldn't due to its over usage in a viral meme.
Director's Personal Touch: Director Alex Woo based the film on his own childhood experiences, specifically his parents' separation, which heavily influenced Stevie and Elliot's journey. He aimed to explore what happens when dreams don't come true, a theme inspired by his own life.
Dream Journaling: To create authentic dream sequences, the production team, including director Alex Woo and co-director Erik Benson, gave everyone dream journals and asked them to record their dreams. Many of the dreams in the film were inspired directly or indirectly by the crew's own dreams.
Animated Cameos: The film features a unique anime sequence that required a hybrid animation style. This was one of the major technical feats achieved during production.
Baloney Tony's Improv: Craig Robinson, the voice of Baloney Tony, brought a lot of improvisation to the role. He described the process as a collaboration of jokes, adding that the film is a love letter to siblings.
