Predator: Badlands (2025)

Cast out from his clan, a young Predator finds an unlikely ally in a damaged android and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.

Yautja Language Debut: Predator: Badlands is the first film in the Predator franchise to feature a fully developed Yautja language. Linguist Paul Frommer, who also created the Na'vi language for Avatar, was hired to create a consistent written and verbal language for the Predators.
Emotional Predator: For the first time in the Predator series, the Predator's facial performance was driven by the actor, Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, allowing for more emotional nuance. The filmmakers blended practical suit work with cutting-edge performance-driven animation to achieve this.
PG-13 First: Predator: Badlands is the first film in the main Predator series to receive a PG-13 rating from the Motion Picture Association. This was achieved by trading gore for world-building and focusing combat on alien-on-alien action.
Alien Universe Connection: The sinister Weyland-Yutani Corporation, known from the Alien franchise, plays a major role in Predator: Badlands. The android Thia (played by Elle Fanning) is a Weyland-Yutani synthetic who teams up with the Predator, further solidifying the connection between the two universes.
Homage to Aliens: In a nod to Aliens, Thia's "sister" synth Tessa uses a power loader very similar to the one Ripley uses to fight the Alien Queen. This is a direct homage to James Cameron's iconic action set piece.
