Jefta (2015)

A Moluccan story from the Dutch polder. Jefta and Nona get married. Shortly afterwards, Jefta's life takes a drastic turn. He loses his wife. The young widower, helped by his best friend Mesach, gradually discovers that there is more to the story. On a bizarre quest, Jefta encounters fighters, children with special gifts, and fortune tellers. Who can he trust and who can't he trust?
