No sooner had the whistles from the referee scandal cleared in the white smoke of the conclave casting than dark clouds obscured the chancellor's vision and allowed him to slip into superfluous new elections, at the end of which Angela Merkel, the fun bomb from the Uckermark, made us happy as chancellor. The men became pope, the women were suddenly chancellor - and in between, the Germans' longing for the flat screen. So that the television fits the program better.
