Practical Sets: The film's remote atoll setting was built from scratch, using physical construction and digital extensions to create a realistic ocean landscape. Rocks, beaches, aquarium walls, and feeding platforms were fabricated and reassembled across multiple locations and water tanks.
A Maquette Orca: Instead of relying solely on CGI, the production team commissioned a large-scale maquette and physical components of the whale, particularly the head, allowing the actors to interact with a tangible object. This was done to create a more authentic emotional connection and a throwback to practical filmmaking.
