Jackie's Real Stunts: At 71 years old during filming, Jackie Chan insisted on performing all of his own stunts in "The Shadow's Edge," without using any doubles.
Location Inspiration: The production team scouted locations for eight months, and some scenes were naturally developed from the places they discovered. For example, the escape route from Macau Tower was conceived after the team noticed the proximity of the Wynn Macau hotel while standing at the edge of the tower.
Unexpected Cameo Cut: Yuen Qiu, a fellow member of the Seven Little Fortunes alongside Jackie Chan, was originally slated for a cameo appearance, but her scene was ultimately cut from the film.
Remake with a Twist: "The Shadow's Edge" is loosely adapted from the 2007 Hong Kong action thriller "Eye in the Sky". Tony Leung Ka-fai, who starred in the original, reprises his role in "The Shadow's Edge" for the first time in his career, but the remake modernizes the story by incorporating AI and facial recognition technology.
Shrinking Space for Intensity: Director Larry Yang intentionally used small spaces, like a cramped elevator, to film scenes between characters, believing that shrinking the space would create a more intense and combative atmosphere.
