After losing her trusted father-in-law, Kana had an affair with her brother-in-law Shuji to ease her loneliness, but then disappeared. Five years later, Shuji married Yukiko and was working as a teacher at a rural school. One day, he saw Kana in town. Kana had become the wife of Takeuchi, the detective who had arrested her for prostitution. However, she remained closed off. Shuji happens to meet Takeuchi and hears Kana's story. A few days later, Kana disappears from Takeuchi's home...
