Abhishek Verma, a fund consultant, gets trapped in a web of lies, deception and blackmail after a good-for-nothing but cunning woman, failing to make ends meet, gets her hands on his phone, which lets slip more than anyone should know, forcing him to comply.

Slum Life Immersion: To prepare for her role as Mamta, Divya Khossla Kumar lived in a slum for a week and learned the local Uttar Pradesh (UP) language to authentically portray her character. She even got used to the smell of the nearby gutter.
Unscripted Reactions: Director Umesh Shukla didn't inform Divya about the actual location for a scene, filming her genuine reaction when she was close to falling into a "naala" (drain). This was to capture a more natural and realistic performance.
Improvisational Talent: Divya Khossla Kumar improvised one of her monologues in the film, which became extremely popular, showcasing her creative input into the character. She also studied UP influencer videos and learned local slang, even a few cuss words, to enhance her character's believability.
Inspired by a Classic: 'Ek Chatur Naar' borrows its title from the famous song in the 1968 film Padosan, adding a nostalgic connection to classic Bollywood. However, the 2025 film presents a modern story of fraud and wit in a small-town setting.
Comeback Roles: The film marked Divya Khosla Kumar's return to a leading acting role and Neil Nitin Mukesh's comeback after a break, adding anticipation and interest around their performances. Neil's expertise in playing complex characters was also a key element.
