The film is based on real events and tells the story of Shomahmud Shoahmedov, a blacksmith from Tashkent, and his wife Bakhri Akramova, who during the Second World War adopted and raised 14 children of different nationalities that had been brought to Tashkent from various regions of the Soviet Union.
