Happiness is just a blue couch away

On a winter night in Podgorica, Nataša flees her abusive husband with her nine-year-old son, Uroš. With no money and nowhere to go, their battered red Golf becomes both refuge and cage. Shuffling through short-let flats, odd jobs and a friend’s couch, she buckles under rent, exhaustion and Petar’s threats. Torn between his father and his mother’s fear, Uroš begins to mirror the violence he’s seen.
