In the aftermath of World War I, the French were seized by an extraordinary enthusiasm, wanting a world focused on joie de vivre, social progress, and celebration. This dream had a name: Paris. The French capital embodied the Roaring Twenties and its cultural influence was felt around the world. People came from every continent.
