To the mentally ill Kriss, the world is divided up into 'good and evil', just like in the old B&W melodrama, 'Pure Hearts', which Kriss and his fellow patient, Willy, spend their days repeatedly watching at the psychiatric ward. To Kriss this film is the bible. One day after a serious conflict with one of the hospital's other patients their viewing rights are retracted. Kriss is deeply frustrated by this, until he realises that Linda, the young girl in the film, actually exists in the shape of the film's star, the actress Ulla Vilstrup. Setting fire to the hospital, Kriss and Willy escape into the night, determined to find her, because life is what you make of it.

The cream of Danish acting talent has brought down the house with waves of laughter as they tackle social issues, politicians, celebrities, and everyday problems. The 2005 Cirkusrevyen team: Ulf Pilgaard, Henrik Lykkegaard, Lisbet Dahl, Claus Ryskjær, choreographer Bill Holmberg, Marie Askehave, and bandleader James Price. As both director and actress, Lisbet Dahl presents this year's revue team with well-known stars and one unknown quantity. In the new film, Pixy the elf makes a surprise appearance at the Jul family's house on December 1. He has come to retrieve the elf hat he forgot last year, which holds a secret—his magical elf ball. Hugo accidentally destroys the elf ball, causing Pixy to lose his elf magic and begin to age rapidly. Hugo is the only one who can reassemble the ball and save Pixy, so he must fly with his siblings Alfred and Vega to the magical elf land. On their journey, they encounter many obstacles – not least the evil elf Evol and his band of elves, who try to prevent Hugo from reassembling the ball. Evol turns Alfred into a reindeer and uses magic to make Vega hopelessly in love with him.
