The story takes place in two kingdoms—Tatranský and Vltavský. The royal parents of the former have a son of marriageable age, while the latter have a daughter at an age when princesses are most interested in choosing a noble groom, preferably at a lavish ball. However, Princess Liduška is interested in only one thing in the whole world—her beloved carrier pigeons. She devotes all her time to them, and the only man she communicates with, of course via pigeon post, is an unknown fellow breeder. But Prince Vranko is also not interested in getting married and ascending the throne... The enterprising tax advisor extended Miss Flintová's activities to her other clients as well. It is a million-dollar fraud.No wonder the tax office is taking an interest in Miss Flint. They are searching for her diligently. Even the surprised and indignant honest man Zdeněk learns of the existence of the non-existent Miss Flint. Where to conjure up Miss Flint all of a sudden?

Karel has a loving family, but his wife and two teenage children have no idea what happened between the brothers years ago; the children don't even know about Emil's existence. Karel needs Emil's help, so Emil spends several days at Karel's house. As far as brotherly help is concerned, the situation, as we learn from flashbacks, is complicated and may never be resolved, but Emil becomes close to Karel's family, discovers what he has been missing all his life, and comes forward to his daughter himself.

We had a unique moment. Czech Republic without tourists, mountains without skiers, empty streets, shops, all of this suddenly seemed almost magical. A different view of reality opened up to us. Free from descriptiveness, focused on the essential things that make life worth living. The main heroes of the film are frozen time, David Chmelař, a tugboat driver, Vanda Hybnerová, an actress, Tomáš Halík, a priest and philosopher, Havel Parkán, a café owner, and Radůza, a singer. They all agreed at the beginning that this is a time that is an opportunity to make a difference.
