The Postman's White Nights (2014)
The film represents life in a godforsaken Russian village. The only way to reach the mainland is to cross the lake by boat and a postman became the only connection with the outside world. A reserved community has been set up here. Despite the modern technologies and a spaceport nearby the people of the village live the way they would in the Neolithic Era. There is neither government nor social services or jobs. The postman's beloved woman escapes the village life and moves to the city. Postman's outboard engine gets stolen and he can no longer deliver mail. His normal pattern of life is disrupted. The postman makes a decision to leave for the city too but returns before long with no certain reason. The script is based on real characters' stories. People from the village play their own parts in the film. The search for the protagonist lasted for over a year.

Barbara the Fair with the Silken Hair (1970)
One day, King Yeremei decides to go on a long hike in order to consider all his areas and compile their register. The tsar is forced to agree to these conditions, because he thinks that each blade of grass was taken into account in the inventory — he still does not suspect that in his absence the Queen gave birth to him an heir.

Byelorussian Station (1971)
"Belorussian Station" is a Soviet drama directed by Andrei Smirnov, completed in 1969 and released in 1971 after censorship delays due to its critical portrayal of post-war Soviet society and veterans' challenges. The film revolves around four former soldiers who reunite 25 years after World War II. They come together to mourn the death of a friend and reflect on their shared past and their personal struggles. "Belorussian Station" poignantly explores themes of friendship, memory, and the enduring impact of war on ordinary people's lives, eventually gaining significant acclaim for its heartfelt narrative and strong performances.

Soldier Ivan Brovkin (1955)
This exhilarating two-part film (“Soldier Ivan Brovkin” and “Ivan Brovkin on the State Farm”) presented to the country a new national hero – kind, modest, charming and… ne’er-do-well. That “ne’er-do-well-ness” proved “Kharitonov’s special key to audiences’ hearts”. Following Brovkin’s appearance on the screen, Kharitonov had become a star of the national cinema, an idol for millions of people. His incredible popularity may be compared to that of another national hero – the world’s first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. And not surprisingly, it was Kharitonov who made a cameo appearance going up the festival stairs and followed with the adoring eyes of the heroines in V. Menshov’s Oscar-winning melodrama “Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears”.
