Honza is a normal 19-year-old boy from Ústí nad Labem who is head over heels in love with his girlfriend, student and photographer Terezka. After the tragic death of his father, a passionate golfer, Honza grows up with only his mother and little brother Lukášek. The family is struggling to cope with the death of their father, and on top of that, they are facing financial problems in the form of debt collectors enforcing claims for a loan shark loan for their apartment.

The fairy tale tells the story of a royal couple who cannot have children. With the help of a magical prop, they finally succeed, but in double measure. They give birth to twins. Which prop is responsible for this? Well, take a guess, or better yet, take another look at the title of the fairy tale. When the boys grow up and one of them is supposed to take over the joys and responsibilities of ruling, an unsolvable problem arises: should it be Vojta or František? We won't reveal the plot with all its twists and turns, but one thing is certain: the boys set out into the world with the understanding that the one who can perform the greater heroic deed will become king. The princes, even though they are not exactly cut out for it, take on the task with all their vigor and responsibility.

For those who love romantic fairy tales full of mysterious magic and spells, filming began in June on the story of Princess Mařinka and the young man Černoočko. The two meet secretly in the woods near the castle and dream of a future together. However, their love is a thorn in the side of Černoočko's grandmother, the witch Křivonožka, who would prefer her grandson to forget about Mařinka and devote himself to the craft of witchcraft. Therefore, she takes advantage of the opportunity when Prince Hubert arrives at the castle for a courtship, deliberately arousing Černoočko's jealousy and hoping that he will renounce Mařinka. However, Černoočko secretly transforms himself into a bird using a complex spell and flies to the castle to see for himself what is happening.

Young man in the prison is obsessed with a singer who is to perform in a new musical its director is currently auditioning for. He escapes and through complex and often very funny series of events ends up being the main star of the musical, only to be discovered by the police the day before the premiere...OK, enough spoilers! The story keeps going on... Lots of great dialogs, awesome music and singing, and ever-twisting story (plus, the parallels between the play's script and the real story) makes this one of the most enjoyable Czech movies I've seen in years (and I've seen many)! Definitely check it out if you like comedy, drama, musicals, and theater.

A dramatic love story, taking place in the final days of the Second World War when the American Army liberated the Pilsen region of West Bohemia. Anne lives with her mother, husband and stepchildren at a solitary country farm. But her life is not what she would wish it to be. She had previously lived with her aunt in London, and the only reason why she returned to Czechoslovakia was to look after the orphaned children of her sister. She married their father, but the rural environment is alien to her, and neither does she get on very well with her husband. Petr and Richard are among those for whom fixed working hours are a nightmare. They want to be masters of their own time and not be subordinate to anyone. Petr also wants to fulfill his dream of becoming a great composer. The shackles of a regular job terrify them both. But money is a necessity, and they have to earn it somehow. How about trading in lies? Problems arise when they stop just trading in lies and start living with them in their private lives. Both realize that the situation is getting out of hand and that something needs to be done. Perhaps love is stronger than lies... But isn't love ultimately the biggest lie in their lives? Honza doesn't have it easy. Being a servant to the stingy Mr. Bařtipán is almost unbearable. Honza figured that out too, even though it took him a while. But then he confirmed that fairy-tale Honzas are funny young men and dealt with Mr. Bařtipán brilliantly.
