Leguignon the Healer (1954)
Having cured the local café owner, Diogène Leguignon becomes convinced that he is a healer and possesses the fluid. His wife sees the benefits of this gift and urges Diogene to exercise his power, particularly on a wealthy old man, M. Coq. Arlette Leguignon, however, is in love with a young doctor, who is violently opposed to her future father-in-law. Leguignon ends up condemned and, disgusted, no longer wants to look after others. When Mr. Coq dies, making him his legatee, Leguignon has to contend with the Coq family. This time, Doctor Martinet comes to his defense. The inheritance is used to build a clinic where Leguignon can carry out his experiments as a magnetizer.

Gus is making violent love to his cousin Sue, to whom he is engaged, when all at once, he has a desire to sneeze and finds to his consternation that he is without that very necessary article, a pocket handkerchief. Becoming very much excited in his embarrassment, he begins turning his pockets inside out and getting redder and looking more awkward every minute, until Sue, becoming disenchanted with her foolish looking lover, hastens to greet Arthur, whom she sees approaching. It is plain that the latter is gaining ground with Miss Sue, when all at once he begins to sneeze and is unable also to locate his handkerchief. He forgets that on entering he had laid it with his hat on the table, where Gus was fortunate to find it and owing to which good fortune the latter is able to regain the side of his fiancée, who is now alone, as Arthur, feeling that awful tickling sensation in his nose, had to flee.

After Father Jocasse has told Jean that he is Comte de Larzac's son, the young man follows his father to Paris. But he finds it hard to comply with the usages of high society and when his father refuses to consent to his marriage with Georgina, he returns to Lannemezan. Georgina is so upset by the count's refusal that she comes to see him and tells him very candidly about her past life. Moved by her plea, de Larzac drives her back to Lannemezan so that she can marry Jean. What was not expected is that, during the trip, they discover they are close to each other.
