The Mupfer gang is again forced to admit defeat by the Schmutzer gang, and the Mupfers then begin to stir up trouble. If the bosses - Meier and Ferri - do not come up with a brillant idea soon, they will be toppled. Ivonka Pivonka, a 12-year-old girl who is inclined to snoop, is on the trail of three robbers of postal money transports. Unfortunately, Ivonka is more curious than she is careful. After being caught, she is locked up at gentle-natured Kitty's apartment. Meier and Ferri read about Ivonka's disappearance and decide to help her escape. With the help of Liese, Ivonka's best friend, and Alice and Aline, two elderly ladies, they begin to track down the postal robbers.

The comedy “Ein fast perfekter Seitensprung” was not only successful, it was really well-done. The first sequel is, as most sequels, less attractive. As the charming mix of Germans and Austrians itself wasn't new and interesting any more, Schwabenitzky had to concentrate more on the less terrific elements. He emphasised the character-clichés and made up a more complex story, in order to bring down as many of the characters from the first film as possible. This sequel is only worth watching if you're a great fan of the first part. Actually, not even then.

Lena is homeless. She couldn't get a foothold in the big city, she hasn't been at home in the country for a long time and she only knows the big, wide world, which she allegedly traveled as a waitress on a cruise ship, from hearsay. Her grandfather's funeral is now both an occasion and an excuse for her to return to the village in the hope of finding her place in life here after all.
