In the early morning of September 11, 2001, a Boeing 757 aircraft belonging to Uzbekistan Airways takes off from the Uzbek capital Tashkent. This is the final flight of experienced pilot Zarif Saidazimov prior to retirement. 101-Flight is in transit through London Birmingham International Airport to John F Kennedy International Airport in New York.

The plot tells the story of the Turkestan Autonomy, the unrest in the Bukhara Emirate, the Tashkent plague uprising, and the Andijan rebellion. The film portrays Behbudi’s interactions with prominent Jadid thinkers and supporters of that era, such as Abdurauf Fitrat, Abdulla Qodiriy, and Ismail Gaspirali. It concludes with Behbudi's sentencing to death.

In the Ferghana Valley, a farmer named Jamoliddin meets with General Skobelev in an attempt to prevent an ongoing uprising. After the negotiations end without success, he decides to take his family and move to what is now Kyrgyzstan. However, before they can complete their escape, government soldiers pursuing him capture Jamoliddin. His wife gives birth to their son but tragically passes away in the process.

Once he still manages to introduce Bakhrom and Nazora. For their short meeting Nazora manages to please Bakhrom. However, the whole idyll is spoiled by an acquaintance with a strange guy, whom Bakhrom helped to fix the car.
