The Sex Lure (1916)
Wealthy capitalist, Clinton Reynolds, and his wife, Laura, have lost their son, Arthur, kidnapped and possibly dead. Attempting to write a wrong in his factory, he adopts the daughter of one of his workers who is killed on site. The girl, Rose, grows up resentful of her adoptive father and as she grows older, seduces him in order to break up his marriage. Long lost Arthur returns and, finding his parents' married life in disarray, becomes romantically involved with Rose in order to end the relationship she has forged with his father. Reynolds comes to his senses and makes amends with Laura, at which point Arthur leaves Rose.

American Maid (1917)
Virginia Lee, daughter of a United States Senator, meets David Starr, a wounded United States soldier, in a field hospital in which she is serving as a Red Cross nurse. Star returns to the trenches and Virginia's base hospital is moved. Starr is again wounded and invalided home. Virginia has lost sight of him. She returns to America; and in Washington, Starr sees her at a ball at the French Embassy. Feeling her too far above him, socially, he goes West, whither Virginia's father takes her, on a business trip, and there a vital drama is enacted.

The House That Jack Built (1916)
Brakeman Jack Foster is the hero of the story. A happily married father of two, his lack of caution while following his dangerous calling is a constant source of worry to his wife and to his close friend conductor Jim Stevens. Jim trying to point out the risks Jack is continually running tells him stories about what leads to a wreck, how the brakeman lost his leg, another man an eye, and how a third man was knocked from the roof of a boxcar when making a coupling. Lesson learned Jack becomes a model of caution and efficiency.
