In September 2023, Arjen Lucassen's 01011001 - Live Beneath the Waves sold out five performances at Poppodium 013 in Tilburg, The Netherlands. This live production, based on the critically acclaimed 2008 concept album 01011001, was performed in its entirety, followed by a number of encore songs. The stage came alive with an imposing backdrop, LED screens showcasing fantastic visuals, lasers, pyrotechnics, special effects, and a unique live surround sound experience – a setup that would be at home on Broadway or London's West End. An accompanying 2-disc CD was also released. The concert was recorded on 24 March 2007 at Teatro Caupolicán, Santiago, Chile.

The Theater Equation consists of a live performance, with cast, choir and small orchestra, of the 2004 album The Human Equation. It marks the first time an Ayreon album was played live entirely, and the first Ayreon live release.

Disk I contains the live concert in DTS 5.1, recorded at the famous Paradiso in Amsterdam in front of an international audience on May 23rd and supported by a superb 3D animation projection show. Disk II features great bonus extra's like a tour video-impression, video interview and a TV special about 15 year the Gathering. The bonus disk also features a collection of the most beautiful 3D animation clips which were especially designed for the band by promising Dutch and Polish 3D artists Michel de Klein and Marcin Pazera.
