Impetigo (1983)
Impetigo is the story of passion and possession in a steamy nocturnal landscape. The title is a reference to the poem A Man All Grown Up Is Supposed To, by Terry Stokes. The characters: Zeke, an inhibited birdlike creature, Flake, a post-industrialist robot and Fish, a fish, live in a barren tract amidst surveillance and entrapment. Their main concerns are lust and what to do on weekends.

Maxwell's Demon (1991)
In a world that has shifted to being information and service based, industrialists are corralled on a reservation named Lorado, to sell plastic things as remnants of their past culture. The reservation is built on a polluted lake which is a tourist attraction. In Lorado there are many forms of love and every one keeps a pet. The story turns on the suicide of Fashionette’s fish, because of bad water conditions, and ends with a large scale chemical fire. This project took over three years to produce and all of the images are computer generated and animated.

Tugging the Worm (1987)
An allegorical film that takes place in a utopian society which has faced the prospect that complete annihilation is an ever present possibility. Cork, an innocent bird-like creature, in a militaristic world that is dominated by high fasion and flashy billboards is befriended by the not too trustworthy bad boy named Vouku. Vouku’s tendency toward violent entertainment and vehicular homicide only serve to increase Cork’s angst. Midwestern Skidmarks (1986)
A variety show that takes the viewer on a roller-coaster ride through haywire narratives, wacked-out video effect humor, spiraling video artists/performance artist collaboration, and modified dirt hot rods. The line of irreverent narrative fragments runs from empty-headed high school reunions at convenience stores to the thrust toward consumer rapture.

X = 10 (2018)
Angel appears to Weirdo and forces a distasteful issue. An invitation to riff on Chapter 10 in the book of Revelations resulted in this short experiment. It merges full body motion capture and facial motion capture on both characters and blends between them.

Tender Bodies (2003)
Tender Bodies is a 3D computer animation that uses the logic of computer games to collapse and reconstruct narrative space. Narrative scenes are connected through a constantly shifting environment of bridges and tunnels. The inhabitants of this landscape are genetically or cosmetically altered. They like to eat and go to parties and experiment on things they don’t understand. The narrative in the animation involves a number of characters. Kisser is a carnivore that enjoys the act of seduction and consumption. Other is a stranger that is chased down and sold for experimentation since it is too unusual to eat. Faun is a botched genetic experiment, a gene spliced attempt to make a unicorn that resulted in a world-weary solitary figure. These characters live in a wordless environment. They have limited interaction with each other and try to avoid interaction completely. However sometimes the three-dimensional space collapses upon itself and they find themselves face to face.

Oral Fixations (2005)
15 minutes from the 7 hour animation. Oral Fixations is a single channel video installation that evolves over a 7 hour time period. The project is a darkly humorous look at a habit of endless consumption and the resulting accumulation of waste. A narrative gradually emerges from the on-screen action that depicts a large mouthed character who dances while flossing its one protruding tooth. A conveyor belt regularly delivers factory-farm fresh hams that the character delights in taking one large bite from and then tossing aside. Over the duration of the piece the hams begin to pile up in the room until at the end of seven hours the room is filled with the refuse of this gluttony. The viewer is encouraged to revisit the piece periodically throughout the day and see how the discarded hams build an oddly humorous environment of waste around the character.

End of Code (2009)
An animation that combines narrative experimentation with the abstraction of motion capture about two groups of misfit hackers in a city of traffic. They speak a language of advertising, corporate branding and self-help, while engaging in a battle to control traffic lights. The discovery that the entire social code is embedded in the access code that regulates traffic lights, begins a twisted ride of cultural espionage techniques. These techniques include surveillance cameras and costumes, as they attempt to untangle the social codes of characters caught in an endless rush hour. The project is a 3D animation using motion capture applied to non-human characters that took five years to produce.
