Faraway (2023)
Zeynap Altin is at the end of her tether: she works far too much and is not valued at all by her husband, daughter and father. To make matters worse, the funeral home dressed her beloved late mother in a man's suit instead of her favorite dress. Enough is enough: Zeynep flees from Munich to the previously unknown holiday home on a Croatian island that her mother secretly bought years ago - with the hope of finding quiet, peace and herself there. If only the previous owner Josip, a rough islander, didn't still live on the same property and annoy her with his views and wisdom.

Safe Place (2023)
A traumatic event – a sudden suicide attempt – opens a gap in the everyday life of a family of three. Their lives change fundamentally, as if they've been pulled into a war invisible to everyone else. The plot is limited to the most acute, a short period of time and a situation that boils down to the most important thing – to save a loved one. The film was based on the personal experience of the director, who also plays the leading role.

One of Many (2018)
I was one of many. I was one of everyone. And many were me. Croation animator Petra Zlonoga, who charmed us with the wonderful Dota (LIFF 2017), has created another disarmingly elegant Animator. A soulful journey of self-discovery, with a graceful and elemental spirit of creation, her new film is a twinkling, cosmological study, teeming with life and delicacy.

Tina & Sendy (2017)
Two girls meeting at a porn audition, getting infatuated by one another and going through a journey in one day and one night followed by one dominant male figure, whose face we never see, but who plays as the force that separates them. It is a film about friendship and a metaphor for power and dominance that gets in the way of woman who could connect more strongly otherwise. Other than carrying that message, the movie has dark humor, a flashy and at moments uncomfortable atmosphere and a distinctive East European girl aesthetic.

The God-daddy (2020)
"To make the film Goddaddy was a great challenge, because it covers almost forty years of Milan Bandić's activity, a seemingly hyperactive and Trump-like character of the Croatian political scene. Bandić has been elected six times as the mayor of Zagreb, which is not only the capital city of all Croats, but also the capital city of all Croatian criminals. Three times Milan Bandić has rejected to give us an interview for the film, so we made an audition to find him a double." - Dario Juričan
