The day after his funeral, the corpse of Varlam Aravidze, the mayor of a small Georgian town, turns up in his son's garden. Although it is secretly reburied, the corpse keeps returning until the police capture the local woman who is responsible. In January 1945, Wallenberg was detained by the Soviet secret police; rumors about his fate vary. Filmmakers from the progressive creative association "Chetver" from the "Kyivnaukfilm" studio traced the attempts of Wallenberg's relatives to find the truth in the perestroika USSR.
