Le Psychodrame (1956)
Roberto Rossellini shot the film Psycodrame in 1956 for the Center d'études de radiotélévision. The staging of three "psychodramas" - organized by Professor Jacob Levi Moreno with Anne Ancelin Schutzemberger - gives Rossellini the opportunity to reflect on what can become a particularly congenial acting technique, and, in general, on the potential of didactic tv. Director of photography a very young Claude Lelouche. Digital restoration by the Archivio Nazionale Cinema Impresa - CSC and Institut National of l'Audiovisuel in collaboration with Museo Moreno.

The Flight of Icarus (1960)
The Fall of Icarus proposes the magnification by the camera of a concrete material, the simple sand placed on a flat screen illuminated from behind, to reveal the changes of form and the movements of the matter once in contact with the elements: water, fire, earth and air. Particular care has been taken in the correspondence between sound and image: the compositions of the image (colors, knots of density, movements) surprisingly find their equivalence on the sound level in the music of Mireille CHAMASS.

Le dossier Chelsea Street (1962)
A French telefilm broadcast on 30th September 1962, this is a detective fiction, set in London, 1927. The plot is set in a single space... a police interrogation room for suspects. It has only three characters; the suspect, who is an architect, and an idealist influenced by radical ideas. The other two characters are policemen, who try to coax from him the motive behind the death (murder?) of his three year old child. Even in a remastered DVD, the beta production values of a television production will be evident. But at barely a few minutes over an hour, it packs a brisk, at times rushed, but an interesting narrative. Makes one wonder, what other gems must the TV vaults in France (and UK, and Germany, and Italy) conceal?

Etude aux allures (1960)
The pace is the oscillation that results from the maintenance of a sound, the internal rhythm of its sound structure, which makes it live and change from its emission until its extinction. In this study, the painter Raymond HAINS attempts a visual transposition of this acoustic law by filming his works through fluted lenses directly attached to the camera creating optical vibration effects that animate the shapes and colors and produce a colorful rhythm.

Tick Tack (1957)
Conceived, drawn and animated live by a team of patients from a psychiatric clinic, this achievement presents, in the eyes of its author, less interest on a purely cinematographic level than on that of human experience. It is the disturbing wordless story of a woman and a man living in a strange setting where objects are endowed with life that they have chosen to tell us through this theater of shadow puppets in cut out figurines. Their characters will know a tragic fate since carried in the air by balloons, they will finally be devoured by a horrible dragon.
