The Cause of It All (1915)
Dr. Spencer's wife becomes intensely jealous when she finds, in her husband's coat, a note signed "Mary," which asks him to visit the writer at the Hotel Mum. The woman carries her tale of woe to Attorney Thomas, a family friend. In his effort to make light of the matter, Thomas soothingly places his arm about Mrs. Spencer's shoulder. Dr. Spencer's office is directly across the court. Glancing out of the window, the doctor sees his wife apparently being embraced by Thomas. The attorney consents to accompany Mrs. Spencer to the Mum and meet "Mary." The doctor trails the two. As luck would have it, Mrs. Thomas passes the Mum just as her husband and Mrs. Spencer enter. The doctor and Mrs. Thomas meet and make their way after their other halves, bent on vengeance bent.

McLane’s blind daughter Nora has been upstairs during the incident but runs down to find Horton sitting in a chair feigning sleep. Nora touches him lightly on the face thus impressing his features in her mind and when she turns to her father he flees. In time Nora’s blindness is cured and at a house party she meets Walter Horton. He recognizes her but she does not know him, and they fall in love but when she touches his face, she realizes the truth.

The Man He Might Have Been (1913)
A young boy aspires to knowledge and higher education but his father, a plain man with narrow goals, is content with an ordinary school education for him and puts him to work despite the principal's protests. Disheartened by the life of drudgery, his father’s decision has wrought he travels the wrong road and goes from hopelessness to recklessness, trapped in an unhappy marriage and a life of hopelessness.

The Lost Mail Sack (1914)
A piece of lumber projecting from the side of a freight car picks up the mail sack hanging from the crane at Bell Station. Two hobos find the sack and rifle the contents. Morrison, postmaster at Bell, has been systematically robbing the mails and benefits by the mail sack's disappearance. Mary Gates, daughter of an engineer, supplies the Post Office inspectors with the first clue. The detectives blunder, however, and arrest Billy, Mary's sweetheart. Chance leads them on the trail of the tramps. The hobos are arrested after a desperate battle. Later, as the result of Mary's clever work, Morrison is brought to bay, while Billy wins his freedom.
