"Kon-Tiki" was the name of a wooden raft used by six Scandinavian scientists, led by Thor Heyerdahl, to make a 101-day journey from South America to the Polynesian Islands. The purpose of the expedition was to prove Heyerdal's theory that the Polynesian Islands were populated from the east- specifically Peru- rather than from the west (Asia) as had been the theory for hundreds of years. Heyerdahl made a study of the winds and tides in the Pacific, and by simulating conditions as closely as possible to those he theorized the Peruvians encountered, set out on the voyage.

Assumes office and connected to the beautiful Maria, from which does not hide that he is married. Meanwhile, his wife Anna and Synesios captured by the Germans on charges that reported in Cairo information for the departure of a German convoy. Komninos, along with a team of commandos, landed in occupied Greece and liberate the imprisoned patriots apart from the Synesius already performed. But while trying to escape, Anna was fatally injured. After the war, Komninos apologizes by Governor Raidis whom he considers lover of his wife, and with Mary, visited the grave of Anna.

A Second World War documentary film produced for and by the National Film Board of Canada in 1942 as part of the "Canada Carries On" short documentary series. It uses stock footage, dating back to the First World War, in its theme of showing how dependent modern war vehicles are on having a fuel supply source. In the First World War, Britain's sea power was preserved through the maintenance of a series of coaling stations dotting the Seven Seas. With the change to oil, rather than coal, the necessities for European nations, without home supply, are dependent on the Near-and-Far East where the pipe-lines and oil production have to be defended against attacks by the Axis powers. Canada's role in oil production is also highlighted.
