When Donald Duck chops a Christmas tree, the inquisitive chipmunks Chip and Dale follow and see him decorate it with nuts and sweets. So they sneak in his home, determined to 'harvest' it all, using the toys for the Duck nephews, as if Christmas came early for them, so to say. Donald puts up an equally 'playful' yet grim defense, so it all rapidly escalates into a bitter miniature two-to-one-giant war over the Christmas-treats.

Mr. and Mrs. Newlywed have an awful "first quarrel" and Mrs. Newlywed refuses to kiss her husband goodbye in the morning. With this in mind, Newlywed consents to accompany his friend George and two stunning girlies on an auto trip. They pass Mrs. Newlywed, who recognizes her husband, and his trip is spoiled, while she goes home in aggrieved surprise. George tells him he must have a double. Accordingly, next day at the office Newlywed talks into his dictaphone and connects it with the telephone, then, leaving instructions with the office boy, calls up his wife and tells her he will be kept late at the office. He and George then go home and his friend introduces

This Tom and Jerry cartoon (the human versions, not the cat and mouse) is an opportunity for the animators to have fun with the medium. There is no specific plot. One of the boys uses a pencil to create a myriad number of animated illusions that could only work in a cartoon. For example, a short vertical line is drawn, which when held by both ends suddenly becomes a saxophone. When played, the notes pop out of the bell of the instrument to suddenly grow legs and transform into ducks. After the song, the saxophone itself quickly follows suit and becomes a goose. The entire short consists of these disjointed, though often creative and humorously unlikely events.
