As they are going to visit their former teacher, Micky, who is seriously ill, three men who were buddies back in their high school years are reunited. Moreover, they go back to the old cram school, reminiscing about their rebellious youth. In the 1990s, that cram school was known for its strict rules and the trio, who loved making trouble, had given the director a big headache until Micky arrived as a new teacher. He not only tamed the boys but became a good friend to them. Micky often talked about romantic relationships and sexuality to the students and made documentaries to speak up for the gay community. It is because of him that the students got to understand the homosexual or even themselves.

Made during the last months of actor Kurt Raab, who died of AIDS in 1988. Raab, who had worked in both theatre and film, most notably with Fassbinder, was in the process of making a series of video sketches for a new production when he learned that he had AIDS. Despite his deteriorating health, and with the caring support of his friend Hans Hirshmuller, he carried on working. This tape is his last testimony.

Zoe is spending a few lovely winter days on Sylt with a friend. She's struggling with her studies, her boyfriend Mike, and life in general. To make matters worse, she's now facing an unwanted pregnancy. Just to relieve herself of this overwhelming worry, Zoe calls Hamburg. There she learns that although her pregnancy test is negative, she has also taken an AIDS test, and it is positive. At first Zoe is completely shocked, but then she radically turns her life around. She drops out of her unwanted studies and leaves her (HIV-negative) boyfriend. Instead, she throws herself into love affairs in which she demands absolute honesty. Zoe desperately searches for an answer to the question of what meaning the remaining life of hers can have.
