The film tells the struggle of two young lovers trying to reunite with each other. Nazlı's father Asım asks for bride price for his daughter. Ferdi spent the bride price he had saved, for his brother Kemal's surgery. In order to save money again, he travels to Germany to find work. Nazli is pregnant with Ferdi's child. Sait, the son of the village's landlord, has set his eyes on Nazli. In order to have Nazli, Sait spreads the rumor that the child is from Kemal. Nazli, Kemal and her mother are forced into exile by the villagers. As if these pains were not enough, the news of Ferdi's death comes. The reunion of these two lovers is now a miracle.

This is a tragic love story between the Agha's daughter İpek and the poor farmhand Ferdi. The two lovers, who grew up in the same village, separated when İpek moved to the city, but their love continued. Despite the kinship between Abbas Agha and Ferdi's father, the Agha's change of heart when he inherits money puts an end to the friendship. Despite his father's warnings about Ipek, Ferdi doesn't listen and moves to the city, thinking that Abbas Agha will help him. As Agha despises Ferdi, he endures every insult and hardship for his love. Realizing that he cannot be with İpek while he's poor, there is only one way left for the young man to realize his dreams: to go to Istanbul.

The film follows Ferdi, a popular singer in the Turkish music scene, who has achieved both career success and a comfortable family life. As his fame grows, he performs in casinos and goes on tours. An important plotline is his past connection with Davut, who had been in prison. Davut was someone who helps Ferdi rise to fame earlier in his career. Before one of his upcoming tours, Ferdi hears that Davut has been released from prison. This creates dramatic tension, as Davut’s return forces Ferdi to confront both his past and some of the consequences of fame.

Ferdi is released from prison after a long term behind bars. During his incarceration, his mother has been institutionalized in a psychiatric hospital due to schizophrenia.He tries to rebuild his life and cope with the burdens that followed him during his time inside. Meanwhile, a young journalist (Meral) is interested in exposing and writing about the lives of “prisoners of fate”.
