Germany in Autumn (1978)
The film does not have a plot per se; it mixes documentary footage, along with standard movie scenes, to give the audience the mood of Germany during the late 1970s. The movie covers the two-month time period during 1977 when a businessman was kidnapped and later murdered by the left-wing terrorists known as the RAF-Rote Armee Fraktion (Red Army Fraction). The businessman had been kidnapped in an effort to secure the release of the original leaders of the RAF, also known as the Baader-Meinhof gang. When the kidnapping effort and a plane hijacking effort failed, the three most prominent leaders of the RAF, Andreas Baader, Gudrun Ensslin, and Jan-Carl Raspe, all committed suicide in prison. It has become an article of faith within the left-wing community that these three were actually murdered by the state.

The Coming Days (2010)
Welcome to 2020: The European Union has collapsed following the fourth Gulf War and massive barricades keep illegal immigrants out of cities that are barely functioning. In the middle of this highly volatile environment is the family of Walter Kuper, an energy conglomerate executive. Walter’s daughter, Cecilia, has joined the Black Storm terrorist group. Her sister Laura must choose between motherhood and the man she loves; their brother Philip has been called up to fight for Germany in a hopeless war to secure the last remaining oil fields. Starring leading actors Daniel Brühl, Johanna Wokalek and Jürgen Vogel, "The Days to Come" asks provocative questions about the current state of things as it depicts personal and political realities in a scarily believable near–future.

There is enormous suspicion in connection with the case of the right-wing soldier Franco A., who allegedly illegally hided masses of firearm munition for the Day X of the coup against the government. Special forces of the Bundeswehr and the police are said to have planned terrorist attacks. In this context, further relevant information is found among suspects, as well as lists of enemies of people to be eliminated. The tracks lead into the extreme right-wing milieu. The situation has not been so dangerous since 1945. Civil servants are suspected of collaborating with neo-Nazis. Right-wing officials and right-wing violence, politicians from the intelligence agency control institution fear new Nazi terror. Are right-wing extremist soldiers and police officers endanger democracy in Germany? The book author and journalist Dirk Laabs has researched the background and unearths incredible things.
