Otto - The series (1995)

Otto is on the move! Sometimes as a quizmaster, sometimes as a Sunday preacher, the master of comedy is sure to provide hilarious entertainment. A mix of almost 30 old films from the Edgar Wallace series and over 300 new Otto Waalkes scenes promises to be a brilliant attack on the laugh muscles. Old images from the breathtakingly exciting crime series have been remixed and rewritten, the resulting stories interrupted, commented on and reinterpreted. All conceivable technical means were used to integrate Otto into the existing material. On the other hand, all intellectual resources were utilised to make this old material compliant with Otto's new comedy. As the host of his various adventures, the hilarious East Frisian also parodies common forms of television entertainment. Everything is made fun of, from quiz masters to Sunday preachers.
