Monique Greenwood, a highly successful woman, began by juggling two jobs: editor-in-chief at Essence Magazine and starting up her own bed-and-breakfast in Brooklyn, N.Y. Monique wanted to leave a legacy for her daughter, Glynn, so she decided to leave her high-end New York job to pursue hospitality and put more time into her business, Akwaaba Bed & Breakfast Inns. She established various locations for her bed-and-breakfasts, including one at a well-known mansion.
