Ottoman Palestine, the end of the 19th century. A love story between Fania, a young Jewish refugee fleeing the Russian pogroms, and Yechiel, a native Ottoman Jew, interweaves with the story of the first wave of Jewish migration from Europe to Palestine at the end of the 19th century, and the beginning of the realization of the Zionist dream. A six part mini series, based on Shulamit Lapid's book, Gei Oni (Valley of my Strength).
