The Customs Investigators - Hard on the border (2012)

From classic border controls to the arrest of arms smugglers or human traffickers - the Scripted Reality series shows deployments of different units of the German customs authorities, which are based on real processes and are sometimes shown with real officials. Cases of the Customs Observation Unit (OEZ), the Central Customs Support Group (ZUZ) and the Customs Criminal Police Office (ZKA) are monitored from close quarters, and viewers take part in strategic meetings, observations of suspects and arrests via television cameras. For the production of the series, equipment from original stocks of the real customs investigation is also used.
