A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (2026)

A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros: a young, naive but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits await these improbable and incomparable friends.

Easiest Casting Decision: Showrunner Ira Parker said that casting Dexter Sol Ansell as Egg was the easiest decision. After viewing Ansell's audition tape, Parker immediately knew he was perfect for the role.
Rugby to Westeros: Peter Claffey, who plays Ser Duncan the Tall, was previously a professional rugby player. His years of physical training for rugby helped influence the physicality he brought to the role, including combat skills and horse riding.
No Title Sequence: In a bold break from Game of Thrones tradition, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will not feature a title sequence. Showrunner Ira Parker explained that this decision aligns with Dunk's plain and simple character.

From Westeros to Video Games: Tanzyn Crawford, who plays Tanselle, has joined the cast of Netflix's upcoming live-action Assassin's Creed series. Crawford plays a puppeteer performer who befriends the main heroes and is a love interest for Ser Duncan.
