Based on a French Hit: "High Potential" is not an original concept but is adapted from the popular French crime-comedy series "HPI: Haut Potentiel Intellectuel". The American version puts its own spin on the premise of a genius IQ single mom working with the police.
Vancouver Start, LA Finish: While the show is set in Los Angeles, the pilot episode was actually filmed in Vancouver, Canada. Once ABC picked up the show, production moved to Los Angeles to capture the city's landmarks and energy.
Kaitlin Olson's Wardrobe Steals: Kaitlin Olson, who plays Morgan, admitted to sneaking some of her character's clothes from the set, including shoes, tops, jeans, jewelry, and even bras and underwear. This is because Morgan's style is bold and unconventional.
