Medical Boot Camp: The cast underwent a two-week "boot camp" run by ER doctors at Warner Brothers to learn how to suture, perform CPR, and intubate, enhancing the accuracy of their performances during surgery scenes. Dr. Joe Sax even allowed one of the actors to suture his arm.
ER Legacy: 'The Pitt' shares a strong connection with the iconic medical drama 'ER.' Noah Wyle, who starred in 'ER,' plays the lead role in 'The Pitt,' and the show was created by 'ER' veterans John Wells and R. Scott Gemmill.
