Set in the 1940s; the story of Abd Rabbo, the irrigation inspector who arrives in Al-Sayed village in Upper Egypt, where he meets Master Fadloun, who controls everything, even the people. Abd Rabo begins recording his life in the village, writing about its people and the mysterious Fadloun.
