Despite overwhelmingly negative reviews from critics, who particularly criticized the writing and Kim Kardashian's performance, All's Fair was the most-watched scripted Hulu show debut in three years.
Kim Kardashian's character, Allura Grant, a glamorous and ruthless co-founder of a high-powered law firm, takes inspiration from Kardashian's own law studies and her father's career as a lawyer.
To help conceptualize her character, Allura Grant, Kim Kardashian brought in her own stylist, Soki Mak. Grant's style is avant-garde, futuristic, and body-conscious, featuring vintage pieces from designers like John Galliano and Jean Paul Gaultier.
Halle Berry was originally cast to star in and executive produce the series alongside Glenn Close in July 2024, when the show was given the title All's Fair, but Berry left the project later that month.
Although the series is set in Los Angeles, co-creator Jon Robin Baitz expressed excitement about filming All's Fair in Los Angeles with experienced local crew members and access to authentic locations. Key filming locations included Sunset Las Palmas Studios in Hollywood and various locations across the Greater Los Angeles area, including Malibu Beach.
