Sandokan (2025)

Sandokan is a Malaysian pirate who, along with his friend Yanez and their crew, attacks the British forces from his island of Mompracem. During his adventures, he falls in love with Lady Marianna Guillonk, an English-Italian aristocrat.

Inspired by Novels: The series is based on a series of eleven adventure novels by Emilio Salgari, which tell the story of Sandokan and his fight against colonial powers.
Multiple Locations: Filming took place in a variety of locations, including Rome, underground Roman cisterns in Albano Laziale, Parco Laghi dei Reali, Chia Falls, Tuscany, and Thailand. Jungle scenes were recreated in Parco Laghi dei Reali and Chia Falls.
Can Yaman's Predecessors: Can Yaman is the sixth actor to play Sandokan on film and television, following in the footsteps of actors such as Steve Reeves and Ray Danton.
Italian Funding: The Calabria Film Commission invested €800,000 into the production.
Modern Take: The show is a fresh and modern take on the world of Salgari, with a strong female point of view from the brave heroines, such as Lady Marianna Guillonk.
