In the quiet suburban town of Ashwood, Evelyn Cameron seems like an ordinary teenage girl—cheerleader, good student, loved by family and friends. As the party winds down, she decides to walk home alone, taking a shortcut through an empty lot. There, she is attacked. The brutal assault is swift and devastating, leaving her broken and silent. By morning, the town is in panic. Evelyn is found barely conscious, unable to process the horror of what has happened to her. Detective Lisa Brennan takes on the case, but Evelyn, traumatized, is unable to speak. The episode ends with her staring at her reflection—forever changed—while somewhere in the town, her attacker remains free.
