Zoku Yumechiyo Nikki (1982)

Set in a remote hot‑spring town in the San’in region, the story continues in the diary format of Yumechiyo, a geisha house madam who survived intrauterine radiation exposure during the Hiroshima bombing and consequently has leukemia. While returning home from a hospital in Kobe by train, Yumechiyo meets a runaway teenage girl who resembles her youth.
