As Mathew wraps up college he finds himself moving out of his parent's house and begins his adulthood. 3 years later on Mathew's 21st birthday his friend takes him out drinking where he stumbles across Doug. Mathew's old dorm-mate from college which he had a falling out with in the past explains he needs a place to stay however his behavior and actions then had grew into hatred by Mathew as he declines countless times. But when a life or death situation occurs Mathew eventually allows Doug to stay with him. And the rest is history.
