However, both Angela and her family began to feel the strain of her deteriorating mental health. They were frustrated with the lack of resources available to them in the Northwest Territories. On November 27, 2010, Angela was at home on a weekend pass from the local hospital when she disappeared from the front steps of her parents’ home.

Delaine Copenace of Kenora, Ontario went on a fun trip to the mall with her sister on February 28, 2016. When she and her sister were separated and Delaine went missing, her family embarked on a search that involved the entire community. Tragically, Delaine’s body was found in Lake of the Woods on March 22, 2016.

Belinda Williams was seen for the last time in British Columbia in 1977.

On July 11, 2007, 44-year-old Jacqueline Crazybull was stabbed by a group of men in an attack that seemed to be random. That same night, four other men and women of different ages and ethnicities were stabbed by the same group of men in separate incidents. They recovered from their injuries. Jacqueline did not.
