Lured by a big paycheck, surgeon Hideki Kaji (Masanobu Katsumura), the "wizard of laparoscopy," accepts work at Honokura Hospital deep in the mountains. On his way there, the locals ask him ominously "Why on a day like this...?" Perplexed, Kaji arrives at the hospital where he is greeted by Nurse Kazuma Nakata (Arata Horii). Soon thereafter, he encounters a series of disturbing occurrences.
