The Gimmicks (1978)
With “Die Gimmicks”, Michael Pflegehar, the spiritual father of “Klimbim”, enriched the German television landscape with another more carnivalesque than subtle format. Grimacing and cake fights are fixed components of this less than subtle number revue, in which Peer Augustinski and the then TV debutant Werner Schulze-Erdel were among the permanent cast.
