Columbuses (1970)
Film adaptation of the best, according to many critics, novel by Roman Bratny 'Columbuses. Born in 1920', or actually its first two volumes. The series of Janusz Morgenstern tells about the Polish resistance movement against Nazi occupiers, the youth of the war, her everyday life and struggle. The heroes are 20-year-old boys, suddenly involved in the dramatic history of the nation and forced to make difficult, often tragic decisions. However, it turns into organized and carefully planned diversionary activity.
