Against a backdrop of the Qing era, due to his father Sung On working as a prison guard, smart and clever Sung Sai-kit has witnessed all kinds of unjust things as he has been wandering around within the prison walls since his childhood, causing him not to believe there is justice in the legal field. And Sai-kit and his brother Sung Ah-kau follow a nomadic lifestyle. However, Sai-kit is then embroiled in the Murderous Spider Demoness Case. To find the perpetrator, he shows off his finesse as Pleader. During the process, he also meets brothel bouncer Ling Lung, who is a proficient combat fighter. The case is concluded, and Sai-kit and Ling Lung get married. He also properly goes down the road to working as a Pleader. Moreover, he has to deal with successive complicated big cases.

Money-minded lawyer Sung Sai Kit (Cheung Tat Ming) was extremely clever and his eloquent speech has won him thousands of cases in court. However, he had a bad reputation since he worked for whoever paid him well. Then his wife Ling Lung (Amy Kwok) got pregnant. Kit wanted to do good in his son’s name and started to be more charitable. He spared others in court and even represented orphan Sing (Fan Siu Wong) in a case. Sing’s father was misjudged as a murderer and Kit successfully proved him innocent. Not long afterwards, Ling Lung gave birth to a boy and Kit decided to retire. However, it wasn’t long when Kit was forced to go back into business. Justice Sung II is the sequel in 1999.

Shek (Chun Pui) was the chef as well as the owner of the restaurant Delicious Garden. He disappeared after defeating by his good friend Shan (Bobby Au-Yeung) in a cooking contest, leaving behind his wife Yuen (Lydia Shum) and his daughter So So (Esther Kwan). Shan then disguised as Kut to help the two women and inspired So to be a good chef. The two became an odd couple but admired each other. Their relationships got complicated when Song (Jessica Hester Hsuan) claimed to be Kut’s fiancee... .

There she meets CHANG KWOK PO (CHEUNG TAT MING) and YU TAK LUK (KOK TAK CHIU, VINCENT) who have embarrassed and humiliated her before. PO is very smart but a bit sneaky, so he only has a small post in the station. He and LUK together form a partnership, named ‘Traffic Marios’, and report the traffic news. LUK is honest and simple-minded. He is sometimes friendly but occasionally unpleasant towards PO. LI is asked to work with PO and LUK for a new show. She quite often yells at and teases them for revenge. These ‘Marios’ of course will not let her beat them and fight back when the time is right. The three of them quarrel with each other leading to lots of hilarious jokes...
