Seeing Onizuka’s unprecedented but visceral, powerful response to problem solving, the school’s president and principal, Sakurai Yoshiko, overrides resistance from her vice principal Uchiyamada Hiroshi and makes Onizuka a teacher. Onizuka goes on to tackle many issues as the teacher in charge of the most problematic class, Class 2-4.

Liminality was separated into four volumes; each volume was released with its corresponding game. The initial episode is 45 minutes long, while subsequent episodes are 30 minutes long. The video series was directed by Koichi Mashimo, written by Kazunori Itō with music by Yuki Kajiura. Choujinki Metalder is the sixth and shortest entry of the Metal Hero Series, running from March 16, 1987, to January 17, 1988, for only 39 episodes. It was the first series to air on Sundays instead of Mondays. Metalder bears many similarities to Toei's earlier program Android Kikaider, particularly in its themes, characters, and the hero's costume design. The action footage of Metalder was adaptated for the first two seasons of VR Troopers. On February 21, 2007, Toei released the complete Metalder TV series and film on a seven-disc DVD set. For distribution purposes, Toei refers to this television series as Metalder.

Ichinose Ryo works as a salesperson for a subsidiary of Hashiba Electronics, a mid-sized electronics manufacturer which prides itself on its long history. One day, he is ordered to transfer to the company’s headquarters. Why him when he has no strong points? The new company president Matsumoto, who has come from America, has his eye on Ichinose’s perseverance as a salesperson and intends to make a five-member team contemplate strategies to improve the management of Hashiba Group. Ichinose and the members head to Vietnam in search of cost-cutting measures. While in Vietnam, he learns about the ongoing bribery behind the contract work between headquarters and subsidiary as a result of a new business plan – a license business – which has severely shaken Hashiba Group. Ichinose is determined to change the company in order to correct its way of doing things and fulfil his own and other members’ dreams.

Jikuu Senshi Spielban is a Japanese tokusatsu television series, part of the Metal Hero Series created by Toei Co. Ltd. from April 7, 1986 to March 9, 1987. Spielban's action footage was used for the battle scenes in VR Troopers. For distribution purposes, Toei refers to this television series as Spielvan. The Waller Empire destroys the planet Clin in search of water for its deity. Two Clinian children, Spielban and Diana, escape to Earth aboard the Grand Nasca. The two grow up during the long journey and don High Tech Crystal Suits to defeat the Waller who have come to Earth in search of more water. Spielban must avenge his dead mother Anna and his homeworld, and find his missing father Ben and older sister Helen. Unknown to Spielban at the start of the series his father and sister have been made members of the Waller against their will.

Kazutoyo lived during the end of the Sengoku period (1546-1605). He was the first feudal lord of the fief of Tosa on the island of Shikoku. He served Nobunaga Oda, Hideyoshi Toyotomi and Tokugawa Ieyasu. Chiyo (1557-1617) was his wife, and was known in history for her dedication and devotion to her husband (like Matsu was to Toshiie in Toshiie to Matsu). She is the daughter of a samurai who served the feudal lord Asai.
